Low-Income Family Charity Program – Terms & Conditions

This charity initiative by i-care.qa aims to support low-income families in Qatar by providing access to essential hygiene products. The program is guided by the definitions and eligibility criteria established by the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), in accordance with Law No. (38) of 1995 and its amendments, including Cabinet Decision No. (46) of 2014.

1. Definition of a Needy Family

A needy family is defined as a household consisting of a husband, wife(s), and their children—or any subset of these individuals—who reside together, share a unified standard of living, and lack sufficient income to meet basic daily needs.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this charity program, the applicant family must meet at least one of the following conditions, as recognized by MSDF or a relevant government authority:

  • The family has no capable breadwinner or lacks a sufficient source of income.

  • The breadwinner is missing, as verified by a court ruling, and no financial support is available from that individual.

  • The wife is incapacitated for work, over 18 years old, and has no breadwinner or income.

  • An elderly person (over 60 years) in the family has no income or external support.

  • The family includes individuals medically certified as disabled or unfit for work, without sufficient income.

  • The breadwinner has been sentenced to prison for at least six months, and the family has no alternate income.

  • The wife has been abandoned or deserted, as confirmed by a court, and has no financial support.

  • The breadwinner is declared missing by legal ruling, leaving the family without income.

3. Approved Goods for Support

The charity program provides basic hygiene and cleaning products only. Items eligible for donation under this program include:

  • Body soap and laundry soap

  • Shampoo

  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes

  • Sanitary pads

  • Baby diapers

  • Disinfectant or bleach

  • Toilet paper

  • ​Baby wipes​

4. Application and Limits

  • One application per family per calendar month.

  • The maximum support value is 1,500 QAR per month per family.

  • All applicants must provide proof of eligibility based on MSDF criteria or official documentation.

5. Additional Conditions

  • i-care.qa reserves the right to verify eligibility through documentation or referrals from certified charitable organizations or government bodies.

  • Any false information or fraudulent applications will result in immediate disqualification from the program.

  • The availability of goods is subject to stock levels and may vary from month to month.
